Q1:
Who is the leader of the Krewe of Yazoo?
A1: David Randall
Q2:
Who designs and makes the costumes?
A2: Lee Randall designs the costumes with the help of a handfull
of other talented members in the Krewe. Under the direction of Lee,
members form an assembly line to actually make the costumes.
Q3:
How does one become a member of the Krewe?
A3: The Krewe has always been an open social group and doesn't have
a formal means of joining. It has been built upon charter members
inviting friends to become members and then those members inviting
their friends to become members. Some members joined by simply showing
an interest in our krewe and asking our fearless leader if they
could join.
Q4: Are you
guys/gals gay?
A4: No, except for the guys who talk with a lisp and the gals who
have husky voices.
Q5: Has the
Krewe marched in other parades besides the Spanish Town Mardi Gras
Parade?
A5: Yes. The Krewe of Yazoo has marched in Baton Rouge's St. Pat's
Day Parade as the Tweed Eaters, St. Francisville's X-mas Parade
as St. Augustine and the Holy Mowers, and even performed at an LSU
baseball game. The Krewe of Yazoo, however, is primarily associated
with the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade and has marched in it every
year for the past 21 years.
